El Shaddai...God Almighty
El Shaddai...God Almighty
<3
<3 Today it's more than just the Sunday school lesson that ministered to my heart as I taught my little 3rd-6th graders this Sunday. He is strong and able to do anything
<3 Last May we sat, one month post surgery for me, at an adoption conference locally and there I listened to a testimony of a family that had adopted a little one from a local crisis pregnancy center. We both began to talk and pray about what we felt God leading us to do. To our surprise after orientation meetings and first steps this past summer, in August we were surprised to find we had been accepted into the next batch of families pursuing a homestudy. Our paperwork began and I began to waver. Through the encouragement of friends and my sweet steady husband, even when it seemed like we were moving forward and not sure what we were moving toward, we kept praying and God kept encouraging us to just take the next step. I have been weak..He has been strong. As we completed our paperwork and submitted the rough draft of our scrapbook last week, I just prayed and asked the Lord to give me His strength. This adoption is because HE has been strong. I seriously could not even take a step forward this time without Him sending friends to tell me to keep following Him. Praising Him
<3Thanks friends for your prayers today as I feel His peace as we wait for some logistics to work out today for His glory

It's a Girl!
It was just a normal Monday morning with coffee and homeschooling...BUT GOD...we received a phone call from our agency that a baby girl with complex medical needs was born 9 days ago and they asked if we would pray about adopting her
<3 It's been a whirlwind day for us of prayer, asking questions but mostly marveling that God was moving in such a big way to show us what He has been asking of us these past 9 months of filling out paperwork. We are happy to announce that we said YES and are moving forward to adopt her
<3She is in ICU four hours away...we have a lot of moving parts with six children and need prayer for God's wisdom, strength and peace. We have nothing for baby yet as we did not anticipate a call at this time but God is going to answer and there are several financial needs to pursuing an adoption this quickly so please pray for us
:) Rick and I have to be at the hospital on Friday and she will, Lord willing, become legally ours. Please pray for God to provide for needs here as I will need to be with her until she is strong enough to come home (which could take weeks). Pray for her strength and the medical professionals who are making decisions for her until we can come. We are thankful for the God who sees, El Roi, and who cares for our family and baby girl
